INSTALLATION GUIDE

  • Floating Method: Suitable for most subfloors, floating installation doesn't demand nails or glue. Floors designed for this method come in click-and-lock or tongue-and-groove formats. Remember, a moisture-resistant wood seam glue and a protective underlayment pad are crucial for longevity and comfort.
  • Glue-Down Method: This involves sticking the floor directly to the subfloor using a high-quality, waterproof adhesive. While it ensures a firm hold, it's generally the most challenging DIY method, and seeking professional help is recommended.
  • Nail-Down Method: This involves attaching the floor to the subfloor using nails, staples, or cleats. Due to the specialized equipment and skills needed, a professional touch is usually the best route for this installation method.

Equip yourself with the right knowledge and choose the flooring and installation that best fit your needs!

WHAT IS CLICK & LOCK CONNECTION?

A click and lock connection is a type of locking floor system that have a constructed interlocking system built in. The planks are specifically machined to “click” and “lock” into place when being installed. No seam glue or adhesive necessary as the planks are built to lock in place. In a click and lock floor the planks are installed with a “click” together method without nailing or gluing down to the subfloor. A click and lock floor is machined to easily snap together, no glue needed. These floors are ideal for floating and make for the easiest DIY installations as they can be floated on almost any subfloor, concrete, or even the existing floor.

WHAT IS RIGID CORE FLOORING?

Rigid core is a click locking floating floor, which is an ideal alternative to laminate and engineered hardwood click floors as it offers the same benefits of realistic wood or stone look designs, but with the durability and waterproof qualities of luxury vinyl flooring.

IS RIGID CORE THE SAME AS LUXURY VINYL?

Rigid Core is 100% waterproof, incredibly easy to maintain, and comfortable underfoot. It's thicker than standard sheet vinyl and Flexible LVP. This means more durability, which means it's more resistant to the wear and tear of everyday life.

  • OUR STORY

Rigid Core Flooring That Works Hard & Looks Amazing

Need flooring that can handle busy days, big spills, and everyday life—while still looking great? Our rigid core flooring is the perfect mix of style and strength, giving you the beauty of real wood with extra durability and easy upkeep.

With a water-proof design and a simple click-lock system, it’s made for homes with kids, pets, and everything in between. The best part? It installs fast and works in any room, from kitchens to basements.

Upgrade to rigid core flooring that looks good and lasts—without the hassle.

For years, buying flooring meant overpaying for limited choices—all thanks to outdated systems packed with middlemen. Prices were marked up as much as 600%, and customers were left footing the bill for floors that didn’t always match their vision.

That’s where Hardwood Bargains comes in. Back in 2008, Ben Thompson and Ross Bayley saw the problem and decided to shake things up. They built a smarter, more direct way to buy flooring—cutting out the middlemen and giving customers top-quality floors at unbeatable prices.

The result? Better floors, better prices, and a better experience. Because you shouldn’t have to choose between affordable and beautiful—you deserve both.
